Microsoft Columbia Data Center Dec. 30, 2024, 12 a.m. - Feb. 4, 2025, 11:59 p.m. public comment
This is a 30-day public comment period for the review of Microsoft Columbia Data Center's draft permit, technical support document, and notice of construction (NOC) application with associated documents.
Microsoft Corporation – Columbia Data Center proposes to update language in their existing air permit to align with current operations related to conditions with load averages per year.
Also, the facility requests allowance for more generators to operate in bypass mode; five generators instead of two for a shorter period of time. Short term emission increases were evaluated. There were no annual emission increases from this project. The project also included modeling of emissions from nonroad engines.
Microsoft Columbia Data Center is located at 501 Port Industrial Parkway, in Quincy.
Public Hearing: Thursday, January 30, 2025, 6 p.m. online
An online public hearing will be held if Ecology determines there is significant public interest. If no significant written requests for an online public hearing are received by January 16, 2025, then the online public hearing will be cancelled.
